The most common roadblock for students is their self-confidence. Did you know that math is hard for everyone? Yep! Being “bad at math” is a myth! Students often believe they are bad at math because the classroom method is not tailored for them, or worse, someone told them they are bad at it. Classes rush from one concept to the next but don't always have time to slow down for every student. If the student has not grasped a concept, they fall behind and begin a snowball effect that leads to low confidence, low motivation, and the belief that they are “just not smart”. Don't get discouraged!
The solution is a tailored experience that encourages students to succeed by showing them where they are strong and working with them on specific areas where they can improve. With private instruction that encourages a growth mindset and helps strengthen them where they need it, students will quickly develop and increase in confidence and motivation to learn more!
"Very knowledgeable and helpful."
"Josiah really did a good job at giving me a better understanding of the content. He helped a lot by going over what I didn’t understand in different ways. The sessions showed overall improvement in my class and helped me feel more confident."
